Mbappé, a champion with a big heart: his foundation is building schools and football fields in Peru

Real Madrid and French national team star Kylian Mbappé, through his foundation Inspired by KM, has transformed a vulnerable area in Peru by building a children’s center and a football field there.

His soccer talent extends beyond the boundaries of European soccer fields to become a driving force for long-term social empowerment. Kylian Mbappé, the French Real Madrid player and current captain of the French national team at the World Cup, has decided to expand the scope of his charitable organization, “Inspired by KM.”

This humanitarian project, coordinated on the ground by the soccer player’s mother, Fayza Lamari, as well as by the champion’s younger brothers, has officially taken root in a vulnerable outlying area of the province of Lima. Under the close supervision of the striker’s family, the organization has chosen the coastal district of Ancón as the epicenter of a major infrastructure revitalization project dedicated to underprivileged children and youth.

Empowering Ancón: From early childhood education to a modern mini-stadium

The structural project funded by the athlete, in collaboration with the renowned Accor hotel chain and with technical support from Cotacero Studio, aims to address serious educational and recreational gaps. The main project involves building from the ground up a facility for PRONOEI, a community-based early childhood care network designed to encourage play and exploration among the youngest children.

In addition to the school, the NGO took over the management of a large, completely abandoned plot of land, transforming what was once barren ground into a regulation-size soccer field with synthetic turf, thereby providing the local community with a fully equipped and safe mini-stadium.

The global evolution of a manifesto born for 98 young people

The international delegation’s trip to the Andean region marked a historic turning point for this association, which was originally founded in January 2020. Initially, the main goal set by the soccer player was to support 98 young people from Paris (an obvious symbolic nod to his birth year, 1998), aged 9 to 16 and from diverse ethnic backgrounds. Thanks to private funding from his personal sponsorship deals, Mbappé now provides logistical support, language classes, and regular educational field trips. In this way, he supports the younger generations as they transition into the workforce, while also exporting this ethical model across the Atlantic.
