Spain tops the global baldness rankings. According to available data, male pattern baldness affects 44.5% of men in the country.
Next are Italy, at 44.37%, and France, at 44.25%; this global top three is thus made up of European and neighboring countries.
Next comes the United States at 42.68%, followed by Germany (41.51%) and Croatia (41.32%). Similarly, with percentages ranging from 41% to 35%, the following countries appear, in order: Canada, the Czech Republic, Australia, Norway, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Ireland, Switzerland, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Hungary, Belgium, Brazil, Japan, Sweden, and Iran.
With less than 35%, the list includes Finland, Greece, Chile, India, Pakistan, Portugal, Israel, Austria, South Africa, the Netherlands, Egypt, South Korea, Poland, Denmark, Thailand, Ukraine, China, Argentina, and Malaysia. Similarly, the bottom three spots in the ranking are held by the Philippines (28%), Colombia (27.04%), and Indonesia (26.96%).
It is worth noting that there are an increasing number of treatments available to combat baldness or hair transplants, in order to prevent total hair loss.
